Everything You Need To Know About Dry Shaving

Here is all you need to know about dry shaving your face & how to remove that peach fuzz!

I have been dry shaving my face for past two years now and that’s one of the best things I have ever done. I was tired of painful salon visits to get my upper lips done. Threading and waxing were too painful & caused break outs.

Dry shaving is a great painless & temporary way of removing your facial hair and is good way to exfoliate your skin. Make sure you never over do it.

What razor to use for dry shaving your face?

As a beginner I used a brand called tinkle and now I use one from miniso store. You should always use a clean and sanitised facial razor.

  • Will Dry shaving make your hair grow back darker and thicker?

Shaving your face has nothing to do with the rate of growth, thickness and colour of hair. These things depend on your hormones & genes.

  • Will my skin look greener after dry shaving?

No! Dry shaving will not give that green tint to your skin. Greener skin is usually seen in men and is caused due to wet shaving and over doing it.

  • How to prepare our skin for dry shaving?

All you have to do is to wash your face and pat dry!

  • Will dry shaving cause ingrown hair?

You should always shave in the direction of the hair growth to avoid ingrown hair.

  • How to take care of your skin after dry shaving?

Wipe your face with a wet cotton pad or a cleansing wipe and always tone and moisturise your skin. I always use a sheet mask for better hydration & moisturising.

  • Can I dry shave my acne prone skin?

Its always good to avoid dry shaving if you have active acne. Shaving acne prone skin can aggravate your acne condition. So wait till your acnes get settled.

We all have facial hair and there is nothing to be ashamed of! If you are uncomfortable with your facial hair and want to do something about it then dry shaving is a perfect choice.
