Hey all,
I have been receiving lots of queries on how to treat hyper pigmentation at home in a natural way!
Hyperpigmentation is darkening of skin in patches or spots due to excess production of Melanin.
3 types of Hyperpigmentation
- Sun Damage
Most common reason for hyperpigmentation is over exposure to sun. Pigmentation due to sun damage can be seen as light spots on nose & chin which can get darker due to continued sun exposure.
- Melasma
Melasma is discolouration of skin on different part of your face like nose, forehead and around your lips. This type of hyperpigmentation is caused due to hormonal imbalances during pregnancy or when you are on contraceptive pills. Melasma can aggravate due to sun exposure.
- Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation
Skin conditions like severe acne and eczema can cause dark spots due to increased production of pigments. These occurs after the inflammation has healed.
